Hey!

My name is Erick Nhan and I'm a freelance photographer based in Calgary. I love all types of photography and have tried a little bit of everything but I'm most passionate about capturing: special family moments, the romance of an engagement and weddings, and the thrill of fast moving cars (or motorcycles) --but honestly, you name it... and I'll shoot it! When I'm not taking pictures I'm usually fixing cars, playing piano or just hanging out with my wife and daughters.

How did it all start? My wife and I were taking a trip to Abu Dhabi, UAE, in 2015, to visit some friends. We had gotten married the year before and I noticed that we didn't really have any pictures together, I wasn't going to let this happen --considering our big trip was just around the corner; I picked up a used DSLR. I fell in love. I started taking pictures of cars (oh, you caught me --I'm actually a licensed automotive service technician by trade and a total Gearhead) and noticed that I was actually pretty good at this “photography stuff.” The more and more I dug deeper in this "obsession" the more and more I would notice how passionate I was for the art of photography.

Really, all I want to do is make you smile... make you laugh... Heck, if my pictures can make you cry I know I’m doing something right. I strive to make every one of my pictures hit a home run and as cliché as it sounds I strive to capture the moments that matter, the moments that you want to remember and photograph pictures that not only capture an image but also captures your heart.
